Wednesday 27 July 2005 Mississippi! The State of Mississippi managed to carve out a narrow 26 mile coastline between Louisiana and Alabama. We chose a cozy beach house in Waveland, on the western end of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, for the second stop on The Cadillac Caravan. One of the highlights of this Rotation was our easy access to all of the entertainment offered at the 13 casinos contained in a mere 20 miles of this coastline, between Bay St. Louis and Biloxi! Biloxi is the undisputed king of the coast; it will have 10 casinos, after Hard Rock opens in September! When we were living there, Beau Rivage was considered the most luxurious and opulent casino in Biloxi! The Mississippi Gulf Coast is what we call a "target rich environment" whether you are a music fan, or a band looking for some lucrative casino work! Do I overstate my case? Well, ZZ Top will be playing The Grand Casino in Gulfport this Saturday, 30 July! If it's good enough for the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost; it's good enough for anybody!! Also don't forget to check with the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center to see if you can open for one of their headliners. B.B. King will be there this Saturday, 30 July! When you get to Biloxi, take some time to visit Beauvoir, the final home of President Jefferson Davis; it is an important repository of Confederate history!
