The Line Up!

I found these pictures, yesterday, at the bottom of an old file! They reminded me of the long and storied history of this band. In Galveston, we appreciate and celebrate our history, and it should be no different with our musical history!

The Line Up has been the premier band on The Island for more than a decade, and a real treasure for the local music scene! I found these pictures from their 2002 web site, and thought it was high time that someone started preserving some of their history!

The first photos show the 2002 incarnation of this Super Group: Willy Gonzalez, Stacy Cook and Mark Lee.

The Line Up Wows Washington!

Yes, they have become far too "refined" and "snooty" in Wasington, DC to support good Rock and Roll, on a regular basis, so they hadn't seen what Texas-based Rock was all about since ZZ Top played for George W. Bush in 2001! The Line Up blew into town, and showed them a thing or two!! They are still trying to figure out what hit them!!

Is it Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards,
off on a new world tour for The Rolling Stones?

No, it's The Line Up - Galveston's premier Power Rock Trio!

Jeffrey P is there for more than just these gigs ....

The Line Up - Washington DC
... he wants to become Senator Pennington in 2008;
and then President Pennington in 2012!!!

Try saying that fast three times in a row: "President Pennington, President Pennington, President Pennington!! It's a tongue twister!

Reportedly his election slogan will be, "Jeffery Pennington, the Master of the Stratocaster". His platform is simple: "My whole life is guitars, and Cadillacs"! Hey, if Kinky can be governor, why can't Jeffery P be President? After all, "P" stands for President!

But wait, it looks like Stacy has Presidential Aspirations, too!
He tries out the fit of President Truman's chair
on the Presidential Yacht, USS Sequoia
!

Since Stacy is a veteran, with well-established defense credentials, he can count on strong support in the Red States!! You can bet that he will be willing to "push the button" if Iran gets out of line!

I hear that his election slogan will be, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning! It smells like .... VICTORY"! He says that, if elected, he will be the first Commander in Chief to set the "right tone" by strapping on a side arm when he meets with members of the Press!!

If you have any "historical" photos of
The Line Up that you would like to contribute to this archive, send them in, and I'll add them.
